Ephesians 5:27 (New International Version)
27and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
When we’re at a wedding the main attraction is always the bride. Her walk is a walk to remember. Her walk on the aisle is the main event. She is there because of him. Because he asked her to, “Marry me. Will you love me. Will you accept my love for you completely and forever?” She will not put on that perfect white chiffon gown made by Raho Laurel if she did not say “Yes” to him. On that day, whoever she was, wherever she came from will not matter. Her “Yes” banished her past. A bride on her wedding day, on that moment of stepping out of the door, those seconds of approaching the bridegroom at the altar is the epitome of beauty… She was indeed perfect. Her beauty is perfected by Jesus. He loves her, and that’s what makes her truly beautiful. Everyone will see the culmination of all that is beautiful in her. God made her beautiful for she is fearfully and wonderfully made. His works are wonderful and we know that full well (Psalm 139.14).
The bride will never forget that walk towards her lover. She will never forget her first ever step towards the altar. When salvation comes to your life, you will never forget it. That is your wedding day with Him, in the spirit realm which is beyond time and space. It knows no end. Wherever you are, that place suddenly transforms into a magnificent cathedral, swiftly you will hear the choir of angels descending from heaven singing your favorite love song that has become your theme song for all eternity. They rejoice in heaven with you. She is made for Him and only for him. Eve was made for Adam, not Adam for Eve. I’ve seen and witness grooms with tears on their eyes on their wedding. Now I understand. Finally, she said yes to him. Finally, “She is mine.” All the sacrifice is worth it. Now it feels as if he never waited.
