Father God in Heaven,
Help me find rest in you alone. Help me understand the beauty of waiting on you alone. You told Abraham to wait patiently on you and he received what you have promised him. May I go through today, just for today with strength and new hope. Teach me to hope on greater things. Show me your glory today and may I just stay in your embrace. Teach me to wait.

Loving You is Rest
Loving you is like breathing fresh air in the middle of the green fields
while the light shines silently as my day begins,
it's new every morning.
Loving you is walking on solid ground, strong, steadfast and unchangeable.
Loving you is easy and light and not burdensome.
Loving you is like a gift, unexpected but freely given.
Loving you is courage, teaching me to jump off a cliff and dare to feel alive and live.
Loving you is finding comfort amidst this confounding universe, there is stillness in the sound of your voice.
Loving you is discovering the deepest depths of the ocean, unraveling the beauty in the mystery of your soul.
Loving you is seeing my Maker through your eyes, loving me through your heart.
Loving you is finally coming home, finding everlasting rest in the arms of my beloved,
dwelling safely in the shelter of my one and only Lover,

I come to you and ask for the forgiveness of my sins. Help me understand the world around me. Help me accept situations. I believe you have a purpose. I believe in your omnipotence and omniscience. Let me hear your voice today. Father, I thank you for my friends. I thank you for sending sweet souls to comfort my heart. I thank you for loving me through them, teaching me through them and disciplining through them. I ask that you comfort and embrace them at times I won't be there to listen to their silent tears. Thank you, Father for strengthening them... for people like me who need people like them. Bless their plans and dreams. And teach me to love them the way you want them to be loved and cherished. Again, Father... Thank you for my friends.

Heavenly Father,
I pray for the people in Middle East today. I saw photos of people lying in their own blood. Comfort those grieving for them. Comfort their families and loved ones. I pray for peace in the middle east. I pray for Syria and their government. I ask you Father God in Heaven to send restoration and gladness back in their hearts. I pray for serenity amidst the chaos. I pray for the children who lost their parents. I pray for these kids. I pray that there will be families to provide them home and shelter. Have your way in their lives. Open the heavens and pour our your blessings over Syria. Let your love abound in all of them. Have your way in their hearts.
