Father God in Heaven,
Help me find rest in you alone. Help me understand the beauty of waiting on you alone. You told Abraham to wait patiently on you and he received what you have promised him. May I go through today, just for today with strength and new hope. Teach me to hope on greater things. Show me your glory today and may I just stay in your embrace. Teach me to wait.

Teach Me to be Selfless
Heavenly Father,
I honor you today. I give you honor and praise for all you've done. I am at rest... resting in your love. I would be tempted to fear and doubt, but your words for this year are "wait and rest."
If there is anything I ask of you today, Father, teach me to be selfless. Teach me to forget whatever I feel. Teach me to focus on your will Teach me to always trust in you, and choose the path you have laid for me. I don't know everything, and I don't know what to think. What I know is that if I call unto you, you will answer. You will deliver me. You are always there. You have diminished me into this little person. I know your purpose is for me to just depend on you. I may have lost some, but I gained the most important in this life... You. Help me, Father. Help me trust you. Teach me to love you more each day. I am yours.

Let your purpose be fulfilled as I surrender my whole life into your powerful and loving hands. I glorify you Father God in my life. I pray and ask for the forgiveness of my sins. Redeem me from all of the fowler's snare. Make me fix my eyes on you alone and be forever magnified in my life. Cleanse me within and let springs of living water flow in my life and let your love overflow throughout the world, through your Spirit.

Heavenly Father,
I pray for the people in Middle East today. I saw photos of people lying in their own blood. Comfort those grieving for them. Comfort their families and loved ones. I pray for peace in the middle east. I pray for Syria and their government. I ask you Father God in Heaven to send restoration and gladness back in their hearts. I pray for serenity amidst the chaos. I pray for the children who lost their parents. I pray for these kids. I pray that there will be families to provide them home and shelter. Have your way in their lives. Open the heavens and pour our your blessings over Syria. Let your love abound in all of them. Have your way in their hearts.
